I HAVE to have one of these.

I can count on one hand the number of roses I’ve ‘tried’ growing in my life. Ok, I can count it on two fingers and one wasn’t by choice. It was here when we moved in and needs desperately to be moved out of the shade but that is fodder for another post. Suffice it to say I am a rose dummy. That being said, I have been browsing some sites and books after having a rose discussion with my gardening buddy at work and I ran across a rose that sounds like it is one I just have to try. I heard it described as feral which is right up my alley. I am a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl and anything that looks wild is welcome in my garden. Are ya curious yet? This little gem is called Darlow’s Enigma. As I understand it not much is known about this rose’s history but it is reported to have the things I would be looking for, scent, hardiness, fairly resistant to disease and a long bloom time. Anyone out there have any experience with this rose in zone 6? (or anywhere else for that matter). If you’ve not seen one scroll about half way down this page for an awesome photo.
