A few days ago I rec’d some Potato Onions that I had ordered this spring ago. When I ordered them I knew they wouldn’t be shipped till fall and they came just a couple of days before I had planned on planting them, Woo hoo, perfect timing. I guess the company (Southern Exposure Seed Exchange) thought they were late as included in the box was an apology and a half a dozen or so free packs of seed as an I’m sorry gift. Little did they know that I got them exactly when I wanted them. Anyway they went in the ground that I had prepared for them earlier this spring not far from the asparagus bed. The soil turned over easily with a fork and I planted them a little more than an inch deep. This isn’t my first time growing these. I had a few left from some I purchased a couple of years ago that had been harvested earlier this year. I planted a few of them in another spot near the new sets and a half a dozen or so went into my herb bed.

Greetings from another KY gardner. I’m very interested in your propagation techniques and results. How can I get in touch with you? Your e-mail is not posted.
