Lol I've been having toad envy myself. Like you I measure the health of my garden by the variety of visitors and residents. I was just the other day wishing I could see a snake (non-poisonous of course). I am looking forward to the return of the garden spiders and am a little disappointed I haven't seen any yet. They are so pretty and photogenic not to mention the variety of insects they consume.

Wow! I'm so glad to find someone else who gets excited about wildlife in their yard. I've lived in my current house for 10 years and last year for the first time, I found a snake in my shed. I was beside myself with excitement because I've "wanted" snakes in my yard for years. My new goal is a toad! People think I'm nuts, but I look at wildlife as a gauge of how healthy the environment is. The more critters I have , the healthier my (organic) yard is.

Personally I LOVE the jungle look. It looks natural. If I had to live in a large city that is how my yard would have to look for me to keep even a little bit of sanity.
