Divide and Conquer – Yellow Iris

July 5th, 2005 · No Comments

yellow iris

After reading a how-to on another blog I sat down to divide some yellow iris we have growing here. I got through about half of what we have and ended up with over 300 iris plants. I replanted the large ones and the small ones are finding new homes. I don’t know the variety (if anyone does I am all ears) but they are pretty I think. They could be an old heirloom as this place is about 80 years old and these look like they have been there for some time.
