Mammoth Dill – July 2, 2004

I’ve been harvesting the leaves for some time. I take the bottom few branches as they are bent but before they dry out. I lay them inside on a paper towel to dry and use it often. I love dill in my eggs and tuna salad. Last year I visited my Great Aunt Mallie in Oklahoma. In her garden stood a dill patch that had been there for some time. She gave me some to bring home. Unfortunately the seed wasn’t mature enough when we were there so I didn’t get my seed from her. Her dill was the same variety though. I planted mine in the corner of the garden where I hope it becomes a reoccuring resident too
